Quotify CRM allows you to manage multiple currencies and assign them to your customers for accurate financial tracking and invoicing. Here's how to add and manage currencies in your CRM:
➕ How to Add a New Currency
-
Go to Setup → Finance → Currencies
-
Click "New Currency"
Fill out the following fields:
-
Currency Code – Enter a valid ISO currency code (e.g., USD, AED, EUR). This is used when communicating with online payment gateways.
-
Currency Symbol – Enter the symbol (e.g., $, AED, €)
-
Click Save
⭐ Setting the Base Currency
To mark a currency as your base currency, click the Star icon next to the currency.
🔔 Note: All financial records in Quotify CRM—such as invoices, estimates, expenses, and proposals—are recorded using the base currency by default.
🔁 Changing Customer Currency
To invoice or record transactions in a currency other than the base currency, you must first assign a specific currency to the customer:
-
Navigate to Customers
-
Click on the customer profile
-
Set the Customer Currency in the profile
⚠️ Important:
Once transactions (invoices, estimates, etc.) have been created for a customer, their currency cannot be changed unless all existing transactions are deleted.
🔄 Currency Auto-Selection for Transactions
When creating a new transaction (e.g., invoice, estimate, or expense):
-
Select the customer
-
The customer’s assigned currency will be automatically applied
This ensures all future transactions for the customer are recorded consistently in their designated currency.
🧪 Special Case – Proposals for Leads
The only exception where currency can be changed after creation is during proposal creation for a lead (not a customer).
You can manually choose the currency before converting the lead or recording further transactions.
