Creating a New Task in Quotify CRM

To create a new task:

  1. From the main menu, navigate to Tasks

  2. Click the “New Task” button


📝 Task Fields & Options:

  • Subject – Enter a clear and descriptive name for the task

  • Hourly Rate – Define the rate if the task is billable

  • Start Date – The date the task becomes active

  • Due Date – The expected completion date

  • Priority – Choose from: Low, Medium, High, or Urgent

  • Repeat Every – Set this if the task should recur regularly

  • Related To – Link the task to a module like a project, customer, or invoice

  • Tags – Add keywords (e.g., bug, design, urgent) for easier filtering

  • Task Description – Provide detailed instructions or notes

Click Save to create the task.


👥 Assigning Users to the Task

Once the task is saved:

  • You can add Assignees (responsible users) and Followers (observers) from the right-hand section of the task modal

  • All assigned users and followers will receive:

    • Email notifications

    • In-app bell notifications

📧 You can customize these notifications under:
Setup → Email Templates


💬 Task Comments & Collaboration

Anyone with access to the task (creator, assignees, followers) can collaborate using the Comments feature.

To add a comment:

  1. Open the task modal

  2. Click on the Comments tab

  3. Type in the comment box

  4. (Optional) Attach files by dragging and dropping them into the upload area
