Recurring tasks let you automatically generate tasks on a set schedule, ideal for repeated actions like weekly reports, follow-ups, or maintenance tasks.
📌 How to Create a Recurring Task:
-
Go to the Tasks menu from the admin dashboard
-
Click the “New Task” button at the top left
-
In the task modal:
-
Add a Task Subject
-
In the Recurring field, select the repeat interval (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly)
You can also choose a custom interval to better match your workflow
-
-
Click Save
🔄 How Does Recurrence Work?
Let’s say you set a start date of 2025-07-31
and choose to repeat every week.
The system will automatically generate a new task 7 days after the start date — in this case, on 2025-08-07
.
Each newly generated task is treated as a fresh task, and follows your settings and assignments.
🔔 Notifications for Recurring Tasks
When a recurring task is created:
-
Task assignees will receive both an email and a web notification
-
The new task will appear in the Tasks list
🛑 How to Stop a Recurring Task
-
Open the Tasks module
-
Use the filter to find your recurring task
-
Edit the task
-
In the Repeat Every dropdown, clear the value (set it to blank)
-
Save the task
This will stop the task from generating new instances going forward.
